We focus on helping students find and apply for merit-based scholarships from colleges. (Merit scholarships are awarded based on such factors as academics, community service, personal characteristics, achievements, etc. They are not based on financial need or athletics.) Although there are thousands of merit scholarships offered by corporations, foundations, charitable organizations, and the like, the largest scholarships come from colleges themselves. Therefore, we help students identify colleges that offer merit scholarships for which they are eligible and assist them with applications for these scholarships. We do not help families with financial planning or with the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), as we are not trained, qualified, or licensed to provide assistance with these areas. We can recommend college financial planners to families who are interested.
